Whether you’re stopping in for a slow morning, a quick refill, or a quiet moment surrounded by greenery, Bitter & Bloom invites you to slow down and immerse yourself in their little jungle. 🌿
The brief
The founders approached me with a clear vision: they wanted a bold, memorable brand that would instantly stand out in Copenhagen’s café-saturated scene. The key challenge was to balance playfulness with refinement — something that would appeal to their hipster coffee–loving audience without slipping into cliché botanical aesthetics.
My approach
I started by developing a creative direction rooted in personality and storytelling rather than just visuals. From there, the identity grew into a bold, fun, and expressive brand filled with illustrated characters that bring a touch of whimsy to the experience. We expanded the visual world with a modern, vibrant colour palette and typography that captures their message while staying warm and approachable.

A lively, charming brand universe that doesn’t just look good — it feels like Bitter & Bloom: playful, inviting, and effortlessly cool.
